The Chrysanthemum is synonymous with the darker autumnal months. This beautiful flower is a symbol of happiness, fidelity, and long life.
There are variations in meaning, depending on the hue.
In France and Germany, a pure white flower represents truth, while a bright yellow bloom in Japan is a symbol of light and is associated with the sun’s energising rays. Should a single yellow petal be found at the bottom of a wine glass, then the one drinking it is insured a happy and healthy life.
Chrysanthemum flower spell for happiness
The chrysanthemum tea is a floral blend known for its soothing properties. If possible, choose yellow flowers to enhance the spell’s power. You will need around five flower heads, hot water and honey to sweeten.
- Wash the flower heads, then pop in a bowl and cover with boiling water.
- Leave the flower to steep for 10 minutes, then using a sieve drain the liquid into a cup or mug.
- Add a spoonful of honey to sweeten and stir.
- As you sip, picture yourself and your loved ones happy and healthy.
